Mr. Sawko began his practice of law in Denton Texas in 1989 and in 1994 formed the law firm of Sawko & Burroughs, LLP with Mr. Mark Burroughs. Mr. Sawko is a member of the Denton County Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, and former member of the College of the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Sawko is married with two children who attend Denton Public Schools. Mr. Sawko and his family attend St. Marks Catholic Church, Denton, Texas. Since the mid-90′s, Mr. Sawko has primarily practiced in banking, business litigation, property tax collections, commercial collection, and personal injury law.

Career

Gregory J. Sawko then began practicing law in Denton Texas in 1989. He was primarily known for his expertise in business law, real estate law, collection law, banking collection matters, and personal injury litigation. In 1994, the law offices of Sawko & Burroughs was formed between Gregory J. Sawko and Mark Burroughs. The firm officially changed the name to Sawko & Burroughs, P.C. in 2008. Mr. Sawko is a well-known lawyer in his community. He is a member of the Denton County Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, U.S District Court Eastern District and U.S. District Court Northern District of Texas and former member of the College of the State Bar of Texas and Texas Trial Lawyer’s Association.

Education

Mr. Sawko received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Financial Management from St. Mary’s University with honors in 1986 and his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1989. Mr. Sawko received honors for Constitutional Law while at St. Mary’s University School of Law.
